"The Bold and the Beautiful" might add another controversial character to its cast. According to the latest rumors reported by Daytime Confidential, the soap opera is reportedly thinking about adding a bisexual character.

The show about the Los Angeles fashion scene and the powerful Forrester family has a transgender character, Maya played by Karla Mosley, who recently married Rick (Jacob Young). The marriage is the first for a transgender character in the history of soaps.

Daytime Confidential reported that the show is looking for a male bisexual character between the ages of 25 and 28. The role is for a white male named Christian who will work in fashion. He is described as sophisticated, professional and stylish.

For now, it is still unclear whom this character would be romantically linked to. Since none of the other characters have come out as gay or bisexual, the character could be in a heterosexual relationship with a woman. So far, every female character with the expectation of Brooke, played by Katherine Kelly Land, is in a relationship.

The show could also reveal another bisexual or gay character. The new character could be a romantic partner for Thomas (Pierson Fode), Carter (Lawrence St. Victor) or Oliver (Zack Conroy). Oliver's girlfriend, Aly, just died.

"The Bold and the Beautiful" airs at 1:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday on CBS.
