Tom Brady will not let his four-game suspension stop him from doing what he does best. The Super Bowl MVP showed off his football skills during the team's first practice.

At practice, Brady, the New England Patriots quarterback, looked like a receiver when he caught Julian Edelman's throw with just one hand. With the ball secured, Brady ran for a touchdown.

For a second, it can be easy to forget that Edelman is actually the receiver on the team. However, Edelman does have a lot of experience at the quarterback position. Edelman was a quarterback during his years at Kent State. Once he went pro, he transitioned over to the wide receiver spot.

Edelman's throwing skills came in handy last season when he threw a 51-yard touchdown pass to Danny Amendola. Despite his accuracy, do not expect the Patriots to rely heavily on Edelman when Brady is serving his four-game suspension for his involvement with the deflategate scandal.

During the training session, Brady took all of the first-team repetitions. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who should be starting for the Patriots with Brady out, practiced as the backup as expected.

"I think I did all right," Garoppolo said in regards to the pick. "There's plenty of room for improvement, there always is."

The Patriots will be opening their season on Thursday, Sept 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
