Google has the facility to download any movies from the Google Play Store by paying certain amount from the Google Play Store. However, with the emergence of the Google Movies application users will now be able to view movies from a portal which is specially designed for the same.

The Google Play Movies app allows users to rent a movie for 30 days. However, if the user hits the play button, he will be left with only 48 hours to complete the movie. In a statement, Google said, "Today, we're adding movies to Google Play in Malaysia, show casing high definition, full length films from major Hollywood studios including blockbusters like Kingsman, Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar and Ghostbusters".

However, for users who have already downloaded the Google Movies application, they will have to update it in order to access the new service. Google has not limited the Google Movies application to only the android portal, but has gone further and has brought the same even on the Chrome Web Stores for desktops and laptops, and Apple App Stores for iPhones and iPads.

At this point of time, the company will only be releasing movies and not TV shows.
