Google has reportedly started dispatching the first batch of pre-ordered Nexus 6 devices to its customers, expected to reach consumers by next week.

If you have tried ordering a Nexus 6 online, you'd know how much of a big deal it is to finally hear of the device's arrival. With a brief window for ordering the high-end Google's flagship, some customers were lucky enough to place their orders in time. But without an exact time frame about gettin it, buyers are getting worried. According to Android Police, the latest update on the Nexus 6 is that the web giant has started shipping the first batch of pre-ordered devices, which are expected to arrive as early as next week.

The report further adds that the handsets are being shipped out from its manufacturing plant in Shenzhen, China. Google's order book is so full of pre-ordered Nexus 6 that the company has failed to stock enough handsets in the U.S. with carriers and retailers. The carriers in the U.S. still haven't got a fixed date and list the device as "coming soon." On Google's own digital store, Nexus 6 wears an out of stock sign, hinting at the demand and lack of supply gap for the biggest smartphone.

The information on the Nexus 6 arrival comes from a FedEx tracking site, showing all product and shipping related details. But not all customers will be able to get the handset next week, as it could be one of many shipments that Google is drawing from its Chinese factory.

The hype for the Nexus 6 can be justified by its high-end specifications, which puts the device in direct competition with the leading smartphones in the industry. Featuring a monstrous 5.9-inch Quad HD display, the Nexus 6 is powered by a 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor and 3GB RAM with Android Lollipop right out of the box. It also sports a 13-megapixel camera on the rear with dual LED flash and OIS and a 2MP shooter on the front. With a massive 3,000mAh battery, the device can run all day.

These premium specs come at a price, as Google is selling the Motorola-built Nexus 6 for $649 for the 32GB model and $699 for the 64GB variant. Keep an eye out on Google Play Store for the device's availability.
