Samsung’s two Selfie focused smart phones: Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7

With the trend of 'selfies' in the global market, the smart phone manufacturers are now bringing their products with high resolution secondary camera to facilitate high quality self-captured photos.

Samsung has been one among them and has brought out the new Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7, both of which are Selfie- oriented smart phones.

The Samsung Galaxy J5 features a 5-inch TFT display with a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad core Snapdragon 410 processor, coupled with a 1.5GB RAM. Looking at the media side of the J5 which is its major features, the Galaxy J5 is equipped with a 13 mega pixels auto focus primary camera and a 5 mega pixels secondary camera. The J5 offers an internal storage capacity of 8GB and can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.

On the connectivity side of the phone, the J5 supports 4G, 3G, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Glonass and microUSB. It offers dual SIM option and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop platform. The Galaxy J5 is powered by a 2600 mAh battery, which is stated to give a standby time of 342 hours, as claimed by the company.

On the other hand, the Galaxy J7 is another variant of Samsung's selfies oriented smart phone. The Galaxy J7 features a 5.5 inch TFT display with a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz Octa core Exynos 7580 processor coupled with a 1.5 GB RAM. However, the Chinese model launched came equipped with an octa core Sanpdragon 615 processor.

Looking at the media side of the phone, the Galaxy J7 is equipped with a 13 mega pixels auto focus primary camera, and a 5 mega pixels secondary camera. The Galaxy J7 offers an internal storage capacity of 8GB and can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The Galaxy J7 offers 4G, 3G, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Glonass, and micro-USB options. The Galaxy J7 is powered by a 3000mAh battery, which Samsung claims to deliver 354 hours of standby time.
