It's family now! George Clooney, the dashing 54-year-old actor and Amal Amaluddin, the British human rights lawyer who wedded nine months ago in Italy have finally decided to have a family, according to channel24.

A friend of the couple agreed: "They decided that it would be the right time. Amal isn't taking on extra work at the moment and just continuing with the cases she has. This is something they really want."

The 37-year-old beauty hopes that she can have a baby a few months after they return to their $15m home in Berkshire, which is currently undergoing a revamp. The US Weekly said that Amal has "decided that it would be the right time. ... Amal isn't taking on extra work at the moment and just continuing with the cases she has."

A source said that "The building plans include a nursery. They hope to have all the work done by Christmas," according to montrealgazette.

The news is quite a sea change for The Gravity actor who had recently declared that having children was not high in his list of priorities. He had admitted in May: "I mean, I've thought about it, I suppose. But I haven't really - it hasn't been high on my list of...I've been asked it a lot lately because I've gotten married and I'm doing a movie with kids in it..."

It was time spent with Amal and her friends that made him change his mind, ultimately. Said an inside source: "[He] loves the relationships his friends have with their kids. George is ready for this step and he thinks that Amal will be a great mother."
