Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett opened up about the sex scandal that also destroyed their marriage.

Baskett, a former NFL wide receiver, revealed that although he did not engage in sexual activities with the transgender model back in 2014, he did not do anything to stop her from touching him. The model claimed that they had an affair when Wilkinson was eight-months pregnant with their second child.

"I messed up," the 32-year-old said to PEOPLE exclusively. "I put myself in a bad situation. And everything through me brought pain upon this family."

Baskett revealed that in an attempt to buy marijuana, he ended up at an address where he saw two naked transgender women making out. One of the two women then allegedly started to touch him intimately through his basketball shorts. Baskett claimed that he simply froze.

"I didn't engage in anything...You never know when you'll freeze. I don't know if it was a couple of seconds or 15 seconds, because all I was saying was get out, get out, get out," Baskett recalled.

Baskett has denied the model's claims that mutual masturbation occurred that night. He also stated that he did not seek out the model after seeing her pictures online, like she had claimed. Baskett added that he did not talk about it because he was ashamed and embarrassed.

Despite the scandal, Wilkinson said, "Hank was very naïve and gullible. He thinks everybody is his friend. That led him to the hell that we've lived."

Wilkinson and Baskett have two children together, Hank Baskett IV and Alijah Mary Baskett.
