Katy Perry has beaten out several other top celebrities, such as Taylor Swift and One Direction, on Forbes' annual 100 list.

Based on the magazine's calculations, the 30-year-old "Roar" singer, who came in third overall, made $135 million between June 2014 and June 2015. On top of being the highest paid artist, Perry was also the highest paid female celebrity.

On Monday, the popstar posted a picture of the cover of the issue with an inspirational message via Instagram.

The message read, "Before accepting the offer to be on the cover of Forbes, I was told that a lot of women have previously shied away from doing it. I wondered if it was because they thought socially it would look like they were flaunting or bragging or it wasn't a humble decision. Ladies, there is a difference between being humble and working hard to see the fruits of your labor blossom, and your dreams realized. Hopefully this cover can be an inspiration to women out there that it's okay to be proud of hard earned success and that there is no shame in being a boss."

Perry's salary came mostly from her Prismatic World Tour, raking in roughly $2 million per city. The tour included 126 shows. Perry also had several endorsement deals with companies, such as Covergirl, Claire's and Coty.

Perry revealed that she would be celebrating by getting a crunch wrap supreme from Taco Bell.

First and second place went to fighters Floyd Maymeather ($300 million) and Manny Pacquiao ($160 million). One Direction and Howard Stern took the fourth and fifth place respectively.

Forbes has released this issue every year since 1999.
