Caitlyn Jenner attended New York City Pride this past Sunday, June 28 and was met by a cheering crowd.

The 65-year-old made an appearance during Candis Cayne's performance at the Jared Needle and Voss Production party, which took place at the Dream Downtown Hotel penthouse in Manhattan. Caitlyn attended the party with six girlfriends and they all sat in the VIP area. She left after the performance ended.

"Everyone started chanting, 'Caitlyn, Caitlyn,'" a party-goer told E! News. "She got up and waved and smiled at everyone."

Caitlyn wore a white shirt with a belt that was paired with a white skirt. She kept her long hair down and wavy.

Several posts and clips of Caitlyn's appearance have been posted to social media:

This is Caitlyn's very first big public appearance since her Vanity Fair cover was released. Caitlyn was formerly known as Bruce Jenner, the ex-husband of Kris Jenner and stepfather to the very famous Kardashaian clan.

Caitlyn was filming for her TV-documentary series, "I am Cait," at the event, according to Variety editor, Ramin Setoodeh. Last week, E! released a new promo for the eight-episode series.

In the promo, Caitlyn said, "We're going to talk about everything. We're going to do a lot of fun things for the first time. We're going to go shopping for the first time. Maybe even some boy stuff, like ride a motorcycle--because girls do that too. It's going to be quite a journey. We're going to do some good."

"I am Cait" premieres on E! on July 26.
