Amazon has released new update for Kindle users that would bring private Facebook and WhatsApp sharing of book previews and quotes.

Earlier, users could share quotes on social media, but publicly. After the latest update, users will be able to share text privately too.

Post update, upon receiving a book recommendation, a user can read the preview or quote through any platform. The user doesn't need to have Kindle or Amazon account to read the book preview.

The new sharing feature seems most suited to book club fans who can share privately with the members without shouting on the public social media. Probably, this would lead to more focused conversation with the club member.

Private sharing of book previews and quotes is considered to give freedom to users, as they can share favorite quotes to their close friends or like-minded ones. This will help the users to dwell in more meaningful relationships with people who are worthy of their attention, without the fear of unnecessary distractions, Standard Daily noted.

This update will be released on the Kindle app first and then on the Kindle reader, as well as on other devices later this year.
