New Launches: Samsung Unveils Selfie Focused Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 In China, 5mp Front And 13mp Rear Camera

Samsung is on 'unveiling spree.' After launching two mid-range tablets in India, it has now launched two new Galaxy J series smartphones that are focused on selfies. Called Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5, the smartphones are available for CNY 1,798 and CNY 1,398 respectively.

Samsung Galaxy J5 features a 5-inch TFT display with a HD screen resolution of 1280x720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. It comes with a 16GB of built-in storage which is further expandable via microSD card.

It also comes with decent 2600mAh battery, rated to deliver standby time of 342 hours.

The smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with f/1.9 aperture and 5-megapixel front camera. The dual-sim handset also features 4G, G, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Glonass and Micro-USB.

The Galaxy J7 comes with the most similar specifications as the J5 and the only difference is the size of screen and battery capacity. Galaxy J7 comes 5.5-inch TFT display with the same resolution and a slightly bigger battery with 3000mAh.

Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 will be available in Black, White and Gold colors.

Both handsets are now only available in China and there's no official word on their global launches.
