Gamers with previous generation consoles are eagerly awaiting the release of Mortal Kombat X.

After launching for PS4, Xbox One and PC in April, the release for previous generation consoles including PS3 and Xbox 360 was delayed more than once. Though it was earlier reported that the game would not release before end of the year, release end of this month looks likely.

Meanwhile, Mortal Kombat fans enjoying the game on current generation consoles are in for a treat as Predator is set to join a long list of heroes to battle.

According to VC Post, Predator along with Jason, Liu Kang and Kung Lao would be added through the 'Prey Pack'. Details are not known about Predator's fighting skills as a trailer released before the game's launch in April, did not show if the character will have his trademark cloaking skills or plasma blaster seen in movies.

A third expansion called Kombat Pack 2 may also feature Rain and Meat. Co-creator Ed Boon has reportedly been teasing fans with his tweets, heralding the arrival of Rain. Though it is not immediately known if gamers can fight Rain or use him, modders have posted videos showing Rain, Sindel and Baraka in a PC training mode.
