Raven-Symone is joining ABC's "The View" as a co-host. The 29-year-old actress and singer will be working alongside moderator Whoopi Goldberg and co-hosts Nicolle Wallace and Rosie Perez, the Network confirmed Wednesday.

"The Disney Company has made another one of my dreams come true! Being a part of The View family will be a wonderful growing experience for me," Symone said in a statement. "The cast and crew are warm and welcoming and has made the transition into daytime talk easier. I have a lot to learn within this new arena, but being the apprentice of these spectacular women will only make me a better person and talk show host. Let's have some fun!"

"Raven is smart, funny and genuine. We've loved getting to know her, and we're all thrilled she'll be part of The View every day. She brings a fresh perspective on the hot topics of the day, and she's a lively, welcome addition to our conversations and interviews," The View's executive producer Bill Wolff said.

Creator and Executive Producer Barbara Walters added, "Raven- Symone is a welcome addition to The View. She is happy, amusing and well informed, and has already brought a unique perspective to the program that has resonated with our audience."

Symone has been appearing as a guest co-host on the show before landing the permanent position. She will be taking Rosie O'Donnell's seat. O'Donnell left the show in February. There is still one chair to fill.

Symone is known for her role on Disney Channel's "That's So Raven" as well as her earlier work on "The Cosby Show." She most recently guest-starred on ABC's "Black-ish" and Fox's "Empire." Her upcoming project includes "Animal Crackers." She will be voicing Binkley.

"The View" airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET.
