Tom Cruise reprises his role as Impossible Missions Force's Ethan Hunt to protect the world from evil schemes of the Syndicate. Sounds familiar?

That is Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, the fifth in the series, set to hit screens on July 31. The new trailer leaves no doubt that the movie brims with high-voltage action characteristic of Mission Impossible movies. According to LA Times, writer-director Christopher McQuarrie is to be credited for the action.

The trailer sets the stage with Ilsa (Rebecca Ferguson) telling Hunt he should navigate 70,000 gallons of pressurized water without oxygen. The Syndicate knows who members of IMF are and is coming after them. Alec Baldwin, a senior official, calls for shutting down the IMF which has allegedly gone rogue. Members of IMF, Ethan Hunt, Benji (Simon Pegg), Brandt (Jeremy Renner), Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames) and Ilsa are wanted by CIA. The IMF gets together for what could possibly be its last mission.

A car-chase sequence made thrilling by Led Zeplin classic 'Whole Lotta Love' and Hunt hanging from a cargo plane preps fans but doesn't tell if there won't be a sixth MI.
