Spanish heartthrob Enrique Iglesias is undergoing hand reconstruction surgery after a drone sliced his fingers during a concert last weekend.

Iglesias was performing in Tijuana, Mexico when he tried tilting a drone's camera towards him to give audience his point of view. While at it, the drone nicked his fingers, forcing him to leave the stage. Iglesias reportedly returned 10 minutes later with a bandaged hand and continued the show. The concert was part of the singer's 'Sex and Love' world tour.

Fans in the first row reported seeing blood splatter after the incident. Iglesias initially tried to hide his hand but later showed fans he was bleeding. He also drew a heart on his blood-stained shirt. His fans lauded the singer for continuing with the show though he was in pain and bleeding.

After the incident, the pop star met an ambulance at the airport and was flown to LA for treatment.

"Thank you to all the fans for your concern and good wishes. Enrique is getting the help he needs and we hope he will be totally fine. Will keep you posted and appreciate all your wishes and prayers," the 40-year old singer's official website posted.
