iOS 9 Rumors, Leaks, Features and Release Date: Things You Should Know

2015 is proving to be one hectic year for Apple. Recently after two new iPhones were launched, Apple Watch was released. According to rumors, next version of iPhone is also expected by August and in between there's WWDC 15 where the company will unveil iOS 9 and next version of its desktop operating system.

iOS 9 Release Date

As usual, the iOS 9 is expected to release for consumers alongside the release of the next iteration of iPhones, which could be as early as August. Although whether it'll be compatible with other Apple devices currently in market is another matter.

New Apps in iOS 9

Here are few apps that we can expect in the upcoming iOS:

Home/HomeKit

HomeKit is Apple's framework for interacting with smart accessories in home. The devices using this framework is rumored to be launching in August and in the meantime, news has emerged that the iOS 9 will sport an app called Home, which will allow iOS users to manage their HomeKit gear.

Transit

iOS 9 is rumored to include an addition to Maps, called Transit that will offer users navigation on bus, subway, train routes along with a journey planner and a Transit Map viewer.

Beats Music

iOS 9 is also coming with a new app, Beats Music. Apple has already released a developer preview of revamped Music app sporting revamped user interface.
