Taylor Swift’s "Bad Blood" Music Video Beats Former Vevo Champion "Anaconda" With 20.1 Million Views in 24 Hours

Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" music video has set a new Vevo record.

The music video, which stars several of Swift's celebrity friends, earned 20.1 million views in 24 hours. The previous record was held by Nicki Minaj. The rapper's music video for "Anaconda" had 19.6 million views within a 24-hour period when it was released in August 2014.

Swift thanked her fans via Twitter for breaking the record.


Swift then proceeded to thank all of her friends who starred in the Joseph Khan directed video. The celebrities included Selena Gomez, Kendrick Lamar, Karlie Kloss, Martha Hunt, Lily Aldridge, Cara Delevingne, Serayah Love, Jessica Alba, Gigi Hadid, Cindy Crawford, Ellen Pompeo, Ellie Goulding, Zendaya, Hailee Steinfeld, Lena Dunhan, Hayley Williams and Mariska Hargitay.

Vevo also reported that Swift's music videos have accumulated almost five billion views for the platform. Some of Swift's most popular ones included "Blank Space," "Style," "Shake it Off," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "Mean," "You Belong with Me," and "Love Story."

Swift released "Bad Blood" this Sunday, May 17 at the Billboard Music Awards.
