Taylor Swift's 12-year old fan, Emily Beazley from Chicago loses her battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma on Tuesday this week.

According to Billboard, Emily's mom, Nadia Beazley, posted a message on her Facebook on Monday talking about her daughter's passing.

"My beautiful Emily got to use her angel wings. She fought hard to the end. Her last gift to me was passing peacefully," she wrote.

For four years now, Emily has been suffering with cancer. When she was eight years old, she was diagnosed with stage III T-cell lymphoblastic non-Hodgkins and has been into a series of chemotherapy sessions with her doctor.

Recently, however, her doctors advised that the cancer cells are getting stronger and chemotherapy sessions cannot help her condition anymore, Aces Showbiz said.

As a Taylor Swift fan, Emily has always wanted to talk to her idol and thus her friends had appealed on social media requesting the Shake It Off hitmaker to give the sick girl a call.

The appeal also included a video of 200 other children who are singing and dancing with Swift's song.

"The smile on my daughter is one I have not seen in a very, very long time. When she was on the phone, she was completely star-struck. Emily thanked her for her music and told her what her music meant to her," Nadia gushed that time.

Nadia also announced that the Blank Space singer's manager offered them tickets to watch the singer's concert on May 30 in Detroit.

When Taylor granted them their wish, Nadia also shared sweet words to the hitmaker that time saying, "You've got to stay strong and you've got to stay positive, no matter what happens," Entertainmentwise reports.

Nadia Beazley said that their family will be holding a public memorial for her daughter.
