McDonald's Corp has caved into the hype around super food kale.

The chain fast food restaurant has started offering breakfast bowls with kale in nine locations across southern California. The company's spokeswoman, Lisa McComb, stated that the bowls cost around $4.

One of the bowls consists of turkey sausage, egg white, spinach and kale. The other one has chorizo and egg mixed with the healthy greens. According to TakePart.com, these two new options are surprisingly tasty.

Josh Scherer wrote, "It was weird seeing a McDonald's breakfast item with so many different colors. Normally, it's all beiges and browns and yellows-with the occasional pink from the nitrate-cured Canadian bacon-but between the wilted greens, chopped tomatoes, and shaved Parmesan cheese, this is a vibrant bowl of food. And, yeah, it's legit Parm on there. Trust me, I'm as shocked as you are. It tasted good too. More important, it tasted like-and I don't mean to insult McDonald's previous breakfast attempts-real food. You could actually tell that somebody behind the counter was cooking with raw ingredient."

News also came out that McDonald's will be adding kale to their salad menus in Canada. The company, however, has not commented about this particular menu addition.

"We'll share news on our menu when the time is right," McComb said.

McDonald's latest kale addition contradicts their television burger ad. In that ad, the camera zooms in on a big burger while the voiceover says, "All vegetarians, foodies and gastronauts kindly avert your eyes. You can't get juiciness like this from soy or quinoa. Nor will that ever be kale."
