Adam Levine was attacked by an intruder who poured a powdered substance that could be flour or sugar.

The incident happened following Levine's guesting at the Jimmy Kimmel Live studio on Wednesday night. While he was happy signing autographs with fans, the intruder poured substance over him affecting five others others, US Magazine said.

Officer Liliana Preciado of the Los Angeles Police Department identified the suspect as Navid Farsi who is believed to have done the untoward act either as a prank or something that has to do with Levine's appearance in Jimmy Kimmel.

"Yesterday at around 8:00, off-duty officers working outside the Jimmy Kimmel studios observed Mr. Navid Farsi throwing powdered sugar at Mr. Levine as he was exiting and giving autographs to fans standing outside to the rear of the location. He threw the powdered sugar at Mr. Levine," an official statement from the police said.

A photo from E! Online showed The Voice coach looking unhappy as the powdered sugar landed mostly on his upper torso and a large portion on his face.

People who are standing near the rock star is also affected by the 'sugar bombing.'

Police officers immediately took him into custody on the grounds of a private citizen's arrest and is currently held on $100,000 bail.

Some fans present during the situation shared their story as to how the incident happened.

Yahoo News cited Kristal Klune's experience which she shared on Instagram. She said, "We were all meeting him talking to him and some guy ran up on him and threw powder all over him!!!" Security tackled the guy down and arrested him. Adam walked off, that guy ruined it for all the fans he was greeting."

In the video, some surprised reactions can also be heard from the crowd.

"What just happened?" one girl asked .

"F---ing murder him!" another person yelled.

Sources said that the intruder is the same man who threw a rock at Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson last week.
