Lenovo is continuing its premium product range with Yoga 3 Pro crafted for four different modes in an extremely thin profile.

Building on the success of Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro as the finest art-of-work, Lenovo is upping the ante on its premium offering. During London's special media event on Thursday, Lenovo, along with popular actor and product engineer Ashton Kutcher, unveiled three new devices in the Yoga series. Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro was a one-off pricey gadget unveiled at the event that highlights the company's true craftsmanship.

Alongside the affordable Yoga Tablet 2 and multi-featured Yoga Tablet 2 Pro, Yoga 3 Pro carries extra weight in the price tag. The new premium tablet is trimmed down on weight and width but with an improved performance engine inside. Measuring at just 12.8mm, the Yoga 3 Pro is 17 percent thinner than its predecessor and 14 percent lighter at 1.19kgs.

"The new YOGA 3 Pro convertible PC is the result of continual refinement and listening to customer feedback," Dilip Bhatia, VP, design and marketing at Lenovo, said in a press release, Thursday. "While users told us they loved what YOGA allows them to do with the four modes, they wanted it even thinner and lighter. We have responded with an innovative new hinge design, and continued to evolve YOGA into a truly adaptable, intelligent device. Today I believe YOGA is among the world's best notebook computers."

Like the Yoga 2 Pro, the latest tablet also features 360-degree hinge. The company was inspired by metallic watch bands and constructed the hinge using over 800 pieces of steel and aluminum for a smoother bend.

In terms of performance, the Yoga 3 Pro sports an Intel Core M processor, 512GB SSD, integrated Intel graphics to project crisp images on the 13-inch 3,200x1,800 pixel resolution display. Yoga 3 Pro can be used in four modes, laptop mode, stand mode, which bends the keyboard 180 degrees, tent mode and fully folded tablet mode.

The tablet will be available alongside other new launches later this month with a hefty price tag of $1,349.
