Facebook recently got a new update. However, the new update has brought problems to many of its users.

Some users faced problem in finding posts which were uploaded, while others had difficulty to post updates containing links. The site sent a warning saying that they were violating the site's security policy.

It appears that these problems were with Facebook's image scrapping tool. The image scrapping tool is used to help user's present links to other content with a photo from the site they are linking to.

The bug posed a lot of trouble for publishers who used Facebook to promote their content.

However, Facebook stated," An error in our system that helps block bad links on Facebook incorrectly marked some URLs as malicious or inappropriate. As a result, some existing posts were hidden, while other posts were blocked completely. We've resolved the issue and the remaining affected URLs are being unblocked. We apologise for the inconvenience this has caused."
