"So this horse walked into a police station...", that may sound like the beginning of a joke, but it unfortunately isn't. That is exactly what happened this week at Cheshire Police headquarters in Winsford, England.

CCTV captured an officer attempting to get the pony off the premises, but the small horse appeared determined to hand itself in, according to Mirror.

The horse was eventually ushered out of the building and police say the cheeky equine intruder was safely returned to his paddock. A police spokesman said the pony had escaped from a nearby field and into their headquarters in Winsford before being escorted back. "We like to ensure a warm welcome to all our guests at HQ and at neigh point did the horse pose a risk to security!" they joked.

Cheshire Police shared the video on its Twitter with a caption that reads: "New 'neigh'-bour visits Cheshire Police HQ #HorsinAround https://vine.co/v/OA7l5aEP52K"
