Lil Wayne and others inside his tour bus were threatened with gunshots as they were travelling out of Atlanta on Interstate 285 early on Sunday morning.

According to E! Online, the shooting incident happened hours after he performed at the Compound nightclub in the city. Fortunately, nobody was harmed in the shooting of the two tour buses.

"Lil Wayne's tour buses were coming from Atlanta to Cobb County last night. There were shots fired at the buses at about 3.14am. The shooting happened on I-285 near I-75 in Cobb County. There were at least a dozen people on both buses. No one was injured," a representative from the Cobb County Police told the news source.

Though no one is harmed, police cannot also find clues that can lead towards the assailants.

"No one was arrested. The only suspect they have is a white vehicle."

"Witnesses could only provide a limited description of the suspect vehicles. They were described as two white vehicles, possibly a Corvette-style vehicle and an SUV," Cobb County Police spokesperson Elizabeth Espy told Yahoo News.

Lil Wayne and his crew composed of twelve members including executives from the artist's record label, Young Money immediately got away from the crime site and the bus driven to a nearby hotel, the Mandarin Oriental hotel on Peachtree Road, TMZ said.

Cops were called afterwards after being assured that the location is secure.

Independent said that a previous shooting incident also happened in Lil Wayne's home in Miami, Florida. The police said that the incident is caused by a prank also from unidentified assailants.
