The first teaser trailer of "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies," hit the internet Monday after making its debut at the 2014 Comic-Con in San Diego.

The last installment of the "Lord of the Rings" prequel series promises adventure, bloodshed and action in its purest form. The footage gives the audience glimpses of the trying times the middle earth has to endure.

The teaser starts off with Bilbo Baggins, played by Martin Freeman, saying:

"One day I'll remember. Remember everything that happened here - the good, the bad, those who survived and those that did not."

And immediately switches over to the beloved evil dragon Smaug burning down a village. Meanwhile, Thorin and his crew have already reached the dragon's lair.

The footage also shows Bard asking Thorin if he wants peace or war and bard screams war!

The teaser indeed ensures enough war with "Edge of Night," or "Pippin's Song" from "The Return of the King" playing in the background.

Directed by Peter Jackson once again, the cast of the previous two Hobbit movies is coming back with a more "Lord of the Rings-like" story this December.

The teaser is a pleasant surprise for the fans because an official trailer doesn't come out until October.

"Many of you asked about the Hobbit Trailer," Peter Jackson said at the Comic Con.

"Yes - there will be a Hobbit Trailer. But like the previous two years, it's not going to be released until October. The complex VFX work required to produce the battle shots we're all wanting to see are not far enough along yet," he added.
