Windows 10 might launch in late July, according to an accidental revelation by AMD. The information was shared by AMD President and CEO Lisa Su during the company's second-quarter earnings call.

"With the Windows 10 launch at the end of July, we are watching sort of the impact of that on the back-to-school season, and expect that it might have a bit of a delay to the normal back-to-school season inventory build-up," Su said while answering a question on inventory plans.

Microsoft is yet to confirm the release date, beyond revealing that it will be available this summer.

"We continue to make great development progress and shared today that Windows 10 will be available this summer in 190 countries and 111 languages," Windows chief Terry Myerson said last month.

Microsoft is hosting its Build event later this month, where we will likely hear final Windows 10 release date details.
