"Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" Kim Richards was charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on an officer on Thursday after an incident at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

Richards, 50, was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning and charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer, according to police.

"The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was photographed outside her home on Thursday afternoon, just hours after she was arrested for public intoxication.

At the time of her arrest, she "was displaying symptoms of alcohol intoxication including slurred speech and belligerent insolent behavior cursing at the officers and passively resisted arrest," according to a statement from the Beverly Hills Police Department.

TMZ reports the reality star had to be dragged out of the restrooms and taken to a nearby jail where she kicked a police officer.

The reality star was issued a citation for trespass, resisting arrest, battery on a police officer and drunk in public and was later released on $20,000 bail at around 10:30am in the morning.

She is due to appear at the Los Angeles Superior Court on May 10.

Just hours after the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star was released from police custody, she was seen in the L.A. area wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses.

Police spokesman Lt. Lincoln Hoshino said "Hotel security requested to make a Private Persons Arrest and BHPD (Beverly Hills Police Department) officers entered the restroom and took her into custody. She was passively resisting and she was taken into custody on Private Person Arrest."
