A salsa lover from Ohio stabbed his boyfriend after he finished the salsa snacks that they have shared on Sunday.

A report from US Magazine said that 50-year old Phyllis D. Jefferson stabbed her 61-year old boyfriend Ronnie D. Bucker when he finished the last of her salsa.

It is said that Jefferson got very mad upon finding out that her boyfriend finished her favorite tomato-based dip that she started stabbing him with a pen that hit his pelvis.

Bucker tried to get away from his then-berserk girlfriend who tried to knock their television out of anger.

He saved the television from being smashed however, his effort only fuelled Jefferson's anger who then went to the kitchen to get a knife.

It was then at this instance that Bucker received other injuries in the left side of his stomach, Time said.

After the stabbing incident, the suspect fled away from the house and drove off from the scenario.

According to NBC, the incident happened around 4pm on Sunday. It was later that night when the police apprehended Jefferson in an interstate highway.

In the police investigation, the suspect never mentioned about the argument over the salsa but said that she stabbed her boyfriend because "she wanted to leave."

Jefferson, however, admitted that she stabbed her boyfriend and is then charged with felonious assault and criminal damaging.

Meanwhile, Buckner is then taken to a nearby medical facility and received treatment. Injuries caused by the stabbing are said to be not life-threatening.
