The rumors that Zayn Malik left One Direction to pursue a solo career appear to be true and the evidence is all on Twitter!

Within a week after Malik, 22, announced that he would be leaving the British boy band, he was seen headed into the studio with UK producer Naughty Boy. Naughty Boy recently retweeted a clip that has been circulating the Internet. In the clip, the words "Naughty Boy saves my life. Zaughty will rise" is sung repeatedly. Many are speculating that "Zaughty" stands for Zayn and Naughty.

Although no one truly knows what the purpose of the retweet was, One Direction band member Louis Tomlinson was not too impressed. He called Naughty Boy out with this tweet:

Naughty Boy's response was vague and cryptic. He tweeted, "when ur gettin hate for some thing u didn't do, a bit of love can go a long way, that's why I retweeted, time will tell the real story guys."

Naughty Boy recently uploaded a demo titled "I Won't Mind" on Monday night on Twitter with this message: "Let the music do the talking guys. Thank us later. :) x." The song is supposedly Malik's first solo track. It is an acoustic folk track that is not similar to the types of pop songs that One Direction has produced over the years. Some of the lyrics read, "We are who we are when no one's watching/And right from the start, you know I got you." The demo was uploaded on SoundCloud, but it has since been removed.

After the song dropped, Naughty Boy tweeted "No one is against anyone here. the fans made all of us. not just a chosen few. the love is alive. hate just doesn't belong there."

Malik left One Direction on March 25. In his statement, he apologized for letting his fans down before adding that it was just the" right time" for him to leave. Malik also said that his departure was not due to any issues he had with band members.

Instead of replacing Malik, One Direction has decided to go on as a quartet.
