Prince William on Monday is starting his first day on a new job - working as an air ambulance helicopter pilot.

The Duke of Cambridge and second in line to the throne, is now an employee of Bond Air Services where he is currently busy undergoing training.

Upon completion he will serve as a pilot for East Anglian Air Ambulance

Prince William, 32, completed Air Transport Pilot's license in March after passing various subjects related to Flight Planning, Principles of Flight, Air Law and Flight navigation.

While his flying missions are slated to begin in summer, the prince will now be working on his in-flight training skills over the next few months.

As part of the job, the work would entail coordinating with medics while responding to emergency situations ranging from heart attacks to road accidents.

While his role as an ambulance helicopter pilot would be his main job, Prince William would be expected to keep up with his royal engagements both in Britain and abroad.

Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge are also expecting the birth of their second child mid next month in April.

The birth of the couple's first child, Prince George expectedly created media waves 2 years back.
