Mariah Carey's love life is currently under close scrutiny as she is spotted to be spending more time and an extended birthday bash with long-term collaborator and friend, Brett Ratner who directed several of Carey's music videos.

A source from TMZ spotted the pair inside a yacht, said to be owned by Ratner's close friend, in St. Barts in Mariah's birthday on Friday on March 27. An extended celebration of her so-called "anniversary" comes after as director also celebrates his birthday on March 28.

The source said that Mariah has since moved on from Nick Cannon's divorce and she and the X-Men director is 'in full romance mode.'

On Saturday, People spotted the music video director with the Butterfly singer arm-in-arm with another female friend. All of them in full smiles as the songstress, with a revealing bikini dress, is seen holding several shopping bags.

Ratner, on the other hand, is in a casual everyday look with a red shirt and faded blue jeans.

Before their birthday celebrations, Mariah Carey have been updating her Instagram of photos with Brett Ratner in it, E! Online reports.

On March 24, the American Idol judge posted a snapshot of her and the Hercules director having Courtney Love.

Earlier this month, Mariah also posted a selfie with Ratner with a caption saying, "Hanging out in the girls room with @brettrat."

And on her birthday, the singer made a collage of pictures captioning it with, "I [love] U and can't wait for this new year and all the excitement of 2015 Dahhhlings!!!"

However, when sources confirmed Mariah Carey and Brett Ratner's reps, both their camps denied the relationship saying it is 'ridiculous' and they were just best friends for years now.

Meanwhile, another report from TMZ also caught Ratner kissing another girl while inside the yacht whom she shared with Mariah Carey.
