Vin Diesel has paid tribute to late actor Paul Walker in the most touching way.

Diesel, who acted alongside Walker in five of the seven "Fast and Furious" movies, has named his newborn daughter Pauline.

"He [Walker] was in the room. There's no other person that I'm thinking about as I'm cutting this umbilical cord," Diesel said to anchor Natalie Morales with NBC's TODAY. "I knew he was there and I felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my memory, a part of my world."

He added, "I'm telling you [Morales] this because I love you. I know that you are a good soul, and I know that this is in good hands."

Pauline is Diesel's third child with his longtime girlfriend Paloma Jimenez. They also have daughter Hania Riley Sinclair, 6, and son Vincent Sinclair, 4.

Diesel has always seen Walker as a part of his family. In response to Walker's shocking death in 2013 from a car crash, Diesel said that he "lost [his] best friend...[his] brother." During the one-year anniversary of Walker's death, Diesel shared a picture of Walker with Hania Riley via Facebook.

The photo included this heartfelt message: "He was a part of so much in my life...long personal talks with my mother or babysitting the Alpha Angel...he took a certain pride in being uncle Pablo...after all, we were filming a scene in FF4 the day she was born, and he being the only one I told, encouraged me to go in and cut the umbilicle cord. He was an important part of my transition into fatherhood...that healthy family member, with the most positive outlook on life...A year ago today...a year of mourning...and his absence still leaves me speechless. We miss you Pablo."

"Furious 7," which was Walker's last film, will open in theaters on April 3.
