The Philadelphia Eagles continue to make surprising moves.

According to ESPN.com's Adam Schefter, Tim Tebow has worked out with the Eagles at the quarterback position. Schefter reported that the Eagles do not plan on signing him at this time before adding that things could change.

The quarterback has not played in the league since the New England Patriots released him in August 2013.

Tebow, 27, was selected by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the 2010 draft. During his rookie season, he made three starts and played in nine games. He threw for 654 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions.

The following season, Tebow started in place of Kyle Orton after the Broncos went 1-4. Although Tebow only completed 46.5 percent of his passes, he threw for 1,729 yards, 12 touchdowns and six interceptions. He led the Broncos to a division title with an 8-8 record and one playoff win against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the wild-card round. In that game, he threw a career high 316 yards.

In 2012, Tebow was traded to the New York Jets where he took on the role of backup quarterback once again. He was released at the end of the season and signed with the Patriots, who ended up releasing him during the team's final cuts.

Tebow has been working as an analyst for ESPN's SEC Network but has expressed his desire to return to the league. He has reportedly been working out in Southern California with Super Bowl champion Tom Brady's passing guru Tom House. House is a former MLB pitcher and now co-owns 3DQB, which is a center that works with quarterbacks and pitchers.

"If anybody's going to have an open mind, it'll be someone like Chip Kelly," House told USA TODAY Sports. "Stranger things have happened. Tim has been busting his butt on a regular basis for the last couple of years to stay ready for just this type of opportunity. He came directly from being released by the Patriots and has been working on a regular basis since then.

He added, "Initially, Tim had trouble spinning the ball and he wasn't very accurate. That's fixed. He's very accurate now."

The Eagles currently have four quarterbacks on their roster, which include Sam Bradford, Mark Sanchez, Matt Barkley and G.J. Kinne.
