First it was a fake website and now a Facebook page claimed that singer and guitarist Willie Nelson's death. Nelson however is not dead.

According to IB Times, the Facebook page 'RIP Willie Nelson' claimed that the legend had died on March 6 at 11 am.

"At about 11 a.m. ET on Monday (March 09, 2015), our beloved guitarist Willie Nelson passed away. Willie Nelson was born on April 30, 1933 in Abbott. He will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page," Massmedia reproduced the text on facebook page.

The hoax reportedly appeared on a website called MSMBC which fans mistook as website of MSNBC, the news major's web portal, last month. The post had claimed that Nelson had passed away in his Maui home when a groundskeeper found Nelson dead in his home. Many fans then had believed the report as it seemed authentic with a concocted police version. However loyal fans quickly called the bluff then and made others realize that Nelson had become the latest victim of a celebrity death hoax.

In the most recent attempt, the Facebook page reportedly attracted a million likes and fans posted comments offering condolence. Twitter too was afire with posts. However posts soon emerged calling the bluff. 81-year old Nelson is expected to perform South by Southwest (SXSW) Music and Media Conference next week in Texas.
