Jamie Dornan, whose has earned international fame for his role as Christian Grey in the film adaptation of the 2011 best-seller, "Fifty Shades of Grey," will reportedly make millions for the sequel.

Rumors are surfacing that Dornan, 32, has been offered more than $6 million dollars for the second installment of the series, titled "Fifty Shades Darker." Universal Studios have not confirmed that any sequels will be produced but are expected to make the last two movies in the series. The last book is titled "Fifty Shades Freed."

Fans of the movie and the books were devastated when earlier rumors claimed that Dornan did not want to play Grey anymore due to his wife's concerns. According to these reports, Amelia Warner was not comfortable with the explicit sex scenes that her husband had to act out with actress Dakota Johnson, who plays the Anastasia Steele.

Dornan was also reportedly not too happy about the scathing reviews that "Fifty Shades of Grey" received. Rumors of him quitting, however, were dispelled and Dornan will reportedly return if there is a sequel in the works. One source claimed that the money played a huge factor.

The source told the Daily Star, "The money on offer was just too good. He's been really worried that he will get typecast as Christian Grey and it will do his long-term career ambitions damage. So he was about to walk away and leave it all behind. Then bosses of the movie came back with the jaw dropping offer."

"Fifty Shades of Grey" opened big in the box office over Valentine's/ Presidents day weekend. It shattered the all-time opening record in February and has grossed almost $500 million worldwide even though it did not open in China, the second largest film market in the world. "Fifty Shades of Grey" was also banned in other countries, such as India and Malaysia.

The movie has arguably put Dornan and Johnson on the map. Dornan was recently casted as the lead role in an upcoming movie titled "Anthropoid." Before "Fifty Shades of Grey," Dornan had modeled and guest starred in several hit TV shows, such as "Once Upon a Time" and "The Fall."

Johnson, 24, most recently hosted "Saturday Night Live."
