Not every Twitter war between celebrities has to be nasty.

Kelly Clarkson proved to the world that you can handle your bullies with grace. The pop singer and winner of the inaugural season of American Idol, reacted to reports that Katie Hopkins, a British TV personality, was fat-shaming her through Twitter.

After Heat magazine told Clarkson, 32, about what Hopkins has been saying online, the three-time Grammy Award winning artist simply replied, "That's because she doesn't know me. I'm awesome! It doesn't bother me. It's a free world. Say what you will. I've just never cared what people think. It's more if I'm happy and I'm confident and feeling good, that's always been my thing. And more so now, since having a family-I don't seek out any other acceptance."

Hopkins, who is known for making controversial remarks, first tweeted about Clarkson's weight after seeing the singer on The Graham Norton Show. She tweeted, "Jesus, what happened to Kelly Clarkson? Did she eat all of her backing singers? Happily I have wide-screen. #grahamnorton."

After Clarkson's fans defended her weight, Hopkins sent out another nasty tweet that read: "Look chubsters, Kelly Clarkson had a baby a year ago. That is no longer baby weight. That is carrot cake weight. Get over yourselves."

The 40-year-old unfortunately did not stop at those two tweets. She recently told ET, "Kelly Clarkson is now a chunky monkey, if we're putting it kindly. She does look like she's eaten her backup singers. My advice: she needs to get out there with her stroller and do some pushing and get some of that weight off."

Hopkins then went further by putting the focus of her rant onto Clarkson's baby daughter, River Rose, who is only eight-months-old. Hopkins stated, "Every fat child has a fat parent. And that's-for me-why Kelly Clarkson is an important example. She needs to allow her daughter to grow up knowing that it's not great to be fat. It's much better to be healthier."

Hopkins claims that her brutally honest criticisms were made in the best interest for Clarkson.

While Hopkins continues to cyber-bully Clarkson, the singer is more focused on her new album, "Piece By Piece," which is already in the number one spot on iTunes.
