There was one man who believed he could pull a fast one. Giving himself a long rope, he shinned down bedsheets during a change of guard at Buckingham Palace, according to sputniknews. After 10 feet, he seemed to lose balance, and fell by 20 feet.

That is what a couple of tourists from outside London discovered. They saw one man deciding to belt it, wearing only one sock and nothing else.

The tourists were shooting Horse Guards that were marching at the Buckingham Palace, when they accidentally clicked on something so totally unexpected that it looked false. They saw that the man climbing down had a free fall.

The video put up by Anders Dahlberg spread like wildfire, with 700,000 hits, which began a huge debate in the social media.

Was it true? Was it false? Why in blazes was the man escaping into the wide, open spaces in full view of everyone?

According to people, "As far as hoaxes go, this is a pretty great one." The article points out that Dahlberg is an e-commerce manager with "digital marketing" and "online marketing", so he could be quite savvy about viral views.

"For another, doesn't this video look particularly high-quality for a "viral video?" It's also shot in landscape, which roughly 75 percent of the population has not caught onto doing yet. Lastly, it's the only video uploaded to Dahlberg's YouTube account, which is suspicious in and of itself - generally, the smaller a person's Internet presence, the less trustworthy their content is," it concludes.

Dailynewsonline reports that Buckingham Palace declined to comment, Metropolitan Police denied receiving any complaints and London Ambulance Service did not report an injured man getting admitted.

However, there was another question that has been unanswered, and perhaps not even asked.

What in the name of Sweet Jesus could a naked man---true or false---possibly be doing in Buckingham Palace?
